 The YPSI (Ypsilanti Performance Space Inc) is a nonprofit that occupies a magnificent, stone gothic building in Ypsilanti, Michigan (8 miles from Ann Arbor). Our mission is to offer quality cultural experiences and gathering space for our community.

Our nonprofit provides a unique rental venue for music acts, artists, and performers seeking an affordable, elegant, small to mid-sized rental venue in the Ann Arbor / Ypsilanti area to share their a. We have off-street parking and offer a range of accommodations to help make each performance a success!

Performance Rental:

  • Seats 249 with bench style seating (see photos)

  • Historically innovative design with seating on a gradual incline.
    There isn’t a bad seat in the house!

  • General rate for performances is $250 per hour /2 hour rental minimum.
    Limited Availability: Rentals offered in May and September ONLY*

  • Includes a merchandise table and private green room.

  • Additional rental equipment and services available (sound, lighting, staging, etc.)

  • 6 public restrooms

  • 53 free off-street parking spaces

  • ADA parking and ramp or staircase for entry

  • 5-min walk from Downtown, 2-min drive from Depot Town, and 3 blocks from Eastern Michigan University, 8 miles from Ann Arbor

Performance Rental:

  • Up to 75 people can sit theater-style or standing-room

  • Backdrop, lighting, sound, and more equipment/services available!

  • General rate for performances is $75 per hour with a 3 hour minimum.

  • A private ADA-accessible restroom and 6 public restrooms

  • No extra charge for chair set up. Please inquire in advance.

  • 53 free off-street parking spaces

  • ADA parking and ramp, or staircase for entry

  • 5-min walk from Downtown, 2-min drive from Depot Town, and
    3 blocks from Eastern Michigan University

*Concert Hall is available seasonally while we fundraise to restore this historic portion of our building. Rental income supports our building restoration efforts.
